How we handle your data and privacy while using tico.

tico is a locally-run emulation application designed to respect your privacy. By default, the core frontend interface and emulator backends operate entirely offline.

1. Data Collection

  • •We do not track your usage habits or telemetry.
  • •We do not collect personal identifying information.
  • •Save files, configuration states, and ROM paths remain strictly on your local device.

2. Network Requests

While the application is primarily offline, certain features require network access to fetch data directly to your device.

  • •Find Cover: When using the "Find Cover" feature, tico queries and downloads cover art directly from SteamGridDB (steamgriddb.com) to your device.

Note: These external services are bound by their own privacy policies. tico acts only as a client fetching public metadata.

3. Your Rights

Because tico does not collect, store, or transmit your private data to our servers, there is no personal data to delete, export, or manage on our end. You are in full control of the application data residing on your SD card.
